Why don't doctors have a good sense of smell?

One day, a man goes to the doctor and says, "I've got a problem with my breath." The doctor says, "Okay, let's take a look at your teeth." He cleans them, then says, "Now let's take a look at your breath again."

The patient says, "Oh, it's better, but I still can't smell very well."

The doctor says, "Well, you know, most of us can't smell very well either."

The patient says, "Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. I thought I was the only one who couldn't smell very well."

The doctor says, "No, you're not the only one. I don't have a good sense of smell either."
